For the second year in a row, the new iteration of the ever-popular pizza tasting event Slice of Columbus will return to central Ohio. Historic local grocery permanently closed; replaced by popular meat market
“So many memories. Thanks for 40 years,” said Marty Little in a statement on social media. Marty and his brother Mike have worked at, then owned, the Little’s Village IGA grocery store for decades. It’s located near German Village, Southern Orchards, and Schumacher Place at 704 Parsons Ave. The grocery store originally opened in 1969, and the Littles have owned it since 1994.
More Pedestrian-Only Events Planned for Columbus Streets in 2024
Last December, High Street in the Short North was shut down to vehicles for the neighborhood’s annual Holiday Hop event, enabling pedestrians to stroll and shop in an open-air market set up on the street. In 2024, the Short North Alliance is taking the same idea and applying it to three separate Gallery Hop events – June 1, September 7, and the Holiday Hop on December 7.
New date set for former Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Meade's murder trial
