Feeling lethargy can be a clear indication of lack of energy. Our lives depend on continuous energy. This fact is so obvious, but we look for solutions in the wrong places with desperation. There are many biological, psychological, and environmental factors blocking and draining our energy. Understanding these factors can be a good start. When we have sustained energy, life becomes joyful.

In this story, I want to provide critical yet simple points that play a vital role in feeling energetic. A combination of these points can help us unclog energy blocks. They are natural, proven, and practical solutions.

From a biological perspective, energy boils down these tiny organelles what we call mitochondria. The more and denser mitochondria our bodies have, the more energy we can experience.

Considering my experience, I want to start with stress because it is one of the most significant biological, mental, and environmental factor affecting our energy levels.

Stress is inevitable in our lives. We continuously experience it. Stress itself is not good or bad. Our response to stress matters. We can manage stress by taking personal responsibility.

Awareness of stress-creating situations and eliminating them from our lives is a vital step to stay healthy. Like many other aspects of our lives, our mitochondrial health is also strongly affected by stress. Thus, effective stress management approach is essential to increase and maintain our energy levels.

The problem is with chronic stress for energy blockage. We need to address chronic stress. Acute stress is essential for our growth. There are many ways to deal with chronic stress. According to established studies, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, relaxation, and other past-time practices can reduce stress levels.

Stress adversely affects our mitochondria. However, learning details of mitochondria is not essential, but its awareness is. I introduced mitochondria in a story titled "How I Increased My Energy Naturally And Performed Like A Boss" published on News Break.

The next important point to increase energy and reduce fatigue is fitness. Exercise plays an essential role in improving mitochondrial health. Exercise can balance hormones and neurotransmitters. Thus, it can address biological and mental issues.

Blood glucose and insulin levels play an important role in feeling energetic or lethargic. When blood glucose level gets high, insulin can spike. Through my experiments, I found out that fluctuating blood glucose created an alarming situation for the body. These alarms can drain our energy.

Related to blood glucose levels, excessive fat storage in our bodies can also cause lethargy. When our body is entirely dependent on glucose, it cannot tap into fat stores. When we are not using fat as the main source of energy we become dependent on glucose. Excessive blood glucose and insulin spikes create a vicious circle.

Unstable blood glucose, high insulin, and excessive body fat are interrelated. Their excessive amounts can be unhealthy for overall mitochondrial health. With these conditions, we feel moody and gain weight. When we are moody and overweight, we feel lazy to move our body.

In addition to biological and mental factors, we also need to understand the adverse effects of environmental factors. From an environmental point of view, toxins, heavy metals, and pathogens play an essential role in mitochondrial health. Eliminating toxins, heavy metals, and pathogens from the body can make a noticeable impact on our energy level.

Related to toxins and heavy metals, bloating can be a factor for lethargy. From my experience, when my bloating was gone, my energy started bursting. I used natural ingredients such as activated charcoal and gelatin.

These natural products helped me capture toxins from my gut and improve my gut health. I shared my experience with activated charcoal in an article titled "How I Trapped Toxins In My Gut And Stopped Bloating Naturally" and with gelatin in I Fixed My Leaky Gut With 2 Powerful Hacks. Living in a toxin-free environment is also critical.

The next critical point for energy is our diet. Our energy is created by nutrient-dense food. Diet is an individual matter, as we all are different. Thus, a customised diet aligned with our genetic makeup covering all essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes is vital for energy production.

If our diet is not allowing us adequate nutrients, we may consider supplementing with the critical nutrients with advice from our medical professionals. Practising an elimination diet can also be useful.

Exposing nature, like sunshine, also can help with beating lethargy. Just going out and walking in a green park with flowers and trees can boost our mood. This simple change can help balance our hormones and create more energy-producing hormones like dopamine.

Last but not least, from my experience, the most significant factor for my lethargy was sleep deprivation. Sleep plays a pivotal role in our lives. When I learned the importance of sleep and took appropriate measures, my energy levels increased substantially. I shared my experience in an article titled "How I Skyrocketed My Sleep Quality With 7 Simple Hacks".

Thank you for reading my perspectives. I wish you a happy, healthy, and productive life.

When I fixed my sleep issues and had an adequate sleep, everything around me looked brighter, and life became more meaningful. My lethargy disappeared, and my energy got abundant.
