Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs gave an interview on Fox News providing details on the Arizona border crisis. Since coming into office a month ago, her policy on migrants is different than former Governor Doug Ducey's.

Governor Ducey bussed migrants to Washington D.C. which is similar to fellow Republican Governor Greg Abbott’s plan.

Though Governor Hobbs is continuing the transportation process, she believes her plan is actually helping migrants get to their desired destination.

Hobbs said:

"Yeah, we’ve continued the program, but I think with a more humane and more efficient spin on it. This money was appropriated by the legislature to specifically bus these legal asylum seekers, and so our decision was to get them where they need to go – to their sponsor or where they have resources and support – instead of just putting them on a bus to D.C., which is expensive."

When asked if she agreed with Colorado Governor Jared Polis on blaming the government for the migrant crisis, Hobbs said:

"Absolutely. This is an issue that the can has been kicked down the road for decades by both parties in Washington. Solving our immigration crisis could help with economy, help with inflation. We need real solutions."

In her State of the State address last month, Governor Hobbs wants to help dreamers. She wants to help children who were brought to the state illegally by their parents and offer them money for college. She allocated $40 million for this initiative according to Fox News.
