Migrants are Entering Texas Through Street Manholes

Migrants are entering El Paso illegally and this is scaring residents. KVIA ABC 7 reported the information. This comes about a month after President Joe Biden passed the Executive Order forbidding Venezuelan migrants from illegally entering the United States.

Recently, the city stopped bussing migrants from the city to New York since they are waiting for funding to reimburse them for prior expenses.

Then on top of that, city shelters are flooded with migrants.

The deputy director of the Opportunity Center for the Homeless John Martin said:

“We're seeing bigger numbers more now than when we did 4 or 5 weeks ago than when we had the situation with the Venezuelans.”

With an influx of migrants, there is another group entering the city illegally and they’re doing it by traveling through manholes in the street. Some migrants were recently identified entering in Segundo Bario.

Segundo Barrio has been in the news over the past few years to build an area on the current property. But the city is making news again but for a different reason.

Resident Rosalinda Tapia captured images of the migrants coming out of the manhole. She feels scared and believes the migrants are being helped. The migrant would call the other person to pick them up.

She also added that some migrants were trying to find things in people’s cars. So they would try to open each door hoping the vehicle was unlocked.

Tapia is scared and currently looking to protect herself by buying a gun.
