Texas Sends a Second Busload of Migrants to the Home of Kamala Harris

This past Saturday, Texas sent another busload of migrants to Washington, D.C. This group arrived outside of the residence of Vice President Kamala Harris. Texas Governor Greg Abbott started busing migrants to Washington, D.C. to give President Joe Biden a little taste of what he is dealing with as thousands of migrants cross the Texas-Mexican border every day.

Governor Abbott has sent over 8,000 migrants to the country’s capital since April. He has also sent 2,500 migrants to New York City and 600 to Chicago.

Recently, Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a state of emergency for the city.

According to ABC News, President Joe Biden stated this was “simply wrong” after the migrants were dropped off.

Then at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, he said:

"It's un-American, it's reckless and we have a process in place to manage migrants at the border. We're working on making sure it's safe and orderly and humane. Republican officials should not interfere with that process by waging these political stunts."

On Thursday, Governor Abbott tweeted:

"We're sending migrants to her backyard to call on the Biden Administration to do its job & secure the border."

Governor Abbott started sending the migrants to the home of VP Harris after she said the border was secure. After that, Governor Abbott sent the first busload of migrants near the home of the vice president.

Last week, Governor Abbott said:

“The Biden-Harris Administration continues ignoring and denying the historic crisis at our southern border, which has endangered and overwhelmed Texas communities for almost two years. Our supposed Border Czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to even visit the border to see firsthand the impact of the open border policies she has helped implement, even going so far as to claim the border is ‘secure.’”
