Back in 2017, we hit our 12th state by visiting the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia. It was such a cool experience to learn about the product and how it has inspired lives over the years.

However, with the pandemic continuing, I want to share some ways to bring Atlanta’s World of Coca-Cola home - based on our visit.

But, first, let’s talk about the Coca-Cola Company.

The Coca-Cola Company is the world’s largest beverage company, offering over 500 brands to people in more than 200 countries. In addition to Coca-Cola beverages, other popular brands around the world include: Dasani and smartwater, Fanta, Gold Peak and Honest Tea, Minute Maid juices, Powerade sports drinks, and Sprite.

Which of these do you drink?

Speaking of drinking these, when we first reached the Lobby of the World of Coca-Cola, we were given a refreshing cold, Coca-Cola.

With this in mind, the first obvious way to bring the World of Coco-Cola home is to grab yourselves so Coke. But, don’t stop there.

Coca‑Cola Beverage Tasting Experience

Make it a taste testing affair, by choosing a variety of the brands that fall under the Coca-Cola Company. By sampling a variety, you will experience the Coca‑Cola Beverage Tasting Experience.

Tasting the beverages was a favorite of the boys. We spent a considerable amount of time in this area moving from country to country sampling their popular beverages. We were surprised by how many actually tasted less like a carbonated beverage and more like a juice.

The Loft & Theater… A Visual and Emotion Experience

After leaving the Lobby, we were then lead into the Loft. While in the Loft, a World of Coca-Cola Ambassador highlighted and shared stories about some of the many artifacts in the room. Many well-known international and historic advertisements are housed in the Loft.

Once we learned a bit about the great heritage of Coca-Cola, visitors enter into the Coca-Cola Theater where a six-minute film celebrates some of life’s most memorable moments experienced by people of different ages and cultures around the world. This made me shed a few tears because it is extremely touching and emotional.

To experience this at home, simply check out some past Coca-Cola ads on YouTube. YouTube is king for housing older video content.

Economic Opportunity

After the six-minute film ended while there, we were welcomed to explore the World of Coca-Cola on our own. Throughout our time in the World of Coca-Cola, we easily learned about the positive contributions to the world that Coca-Cola has made such as continuously working to create rewarding careers and bringing economic opportunity wherever they may operate.

With this in mind, consider browsing the Coca-Cola website for jobs that they typically hire for. I know this sounds odd, but by being a Career Counselor and always knowing people looking for employment, it’s something I would recommend.

Not only that, but you can share the jobs with people you know who are looking or make a homeschool research project out of it. All of which is something that would happen in my household.

Coca-Cola Polar Bear Photo Opp

Aside from the Lobby, Loft, and Theater, there are many more exhibits to explore such as seeing the Coca-Cola Polar Bear, Bottle Works, the Pop Culture Gallery, Taste It!, the Coca-Cola Store, and many more!

In many of these areas, we took a ton of photos. So, why not get creative at home and take a ton of photos. Make hahstag signs and take photos of all that you're doing for your Coca-Cola Night In. If that’s even a thing.

Don’t forget to wear your apparel, if you have it! And, if not, grab some merch online. Why? Because as you exit, you exit through the Coca-Cola Store.

Final Thoughts

The last thing I would include in an evening such as this would be to invite others to join you on Zoom. How fun would that be? Everyone trying different sodas online, talking about them, taking silly photos, and using a collective hashtag.
