2. Petee's Pie, Brooklyn and Manhattan
Petee's is well known for their incredible pies! Lucky for us they have options for Thanksgiving Pre-Order pick-ups if you're vegan or gluten free! Support this small business by ordering a Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie or a Vegan Gluten Free Apple Crumb. Yum! Petee's also has vegan cookies!
3. Brooklyn Whiskers, Bushwick, Brooklyn
Woah! Brooklyn Whiskers has so many pie options! A go-to vegan bakery of mine, I highly recommend this spot. Their pie flavors include Apple Crumb, Cran-Raspberry Streusel, Pumpkin, Chocolate Mousse, Cherry, Pecan, and Chocolate Bourbon Pecan. They also have mini versions of most of the flavors! No gluten free options from what I can see, but maybe this can be accommadated. If you successfully order a glute free pie from Brooklyn Whiskers, let us know in the comments!
Did you forget to pre-order from one of these cute local businesses? No problem! Whole Foods has Vegan Cherry Pie, Blueberry Pie, and Apple! Whole Foods also carries gluten free pie crusts if you're looking to make your own but want to save some time! There are a few frozen gluten free pies as well!
5. Trader Joe's
Trader Joe's offers a frozen gluten free pie crust as well, and from what I can see, it has rave reviews! There aren't many other options in the pie category... but TJ's being my absolute favorite grocery store of all time is not a spot to miss for your DIY vegan or gluten free holiday dinner table. In terms of desserts, TJ's offers gluten free seasonal flavored cupcakes, vegan and/or gluten free cookies, and soy/coconut/almond based ice creams! My favorite thing is to make my own vegan apple crisp and top it with TJ's Soy Vanilla Ice Cream.
In terms of savory dinner dishes... TJ's has my fave go-to for a turkey alternative: Breaded Turkey-Less Stuffed Roast with Gravy. Check out their frozen and pre-cut veggies for easy side options as well. Especially if you aren't going anywhere this year because of COVID, TJ's is your one stop shop with literally every Thanksgiving Dinner option either pre-made or ready to be cooked.
