DRDO has tested India's dangerous weapon. The testing was done on Friday i.e. 27 January 2023 on the coast of Odisha. This test is of a hypersonic weapon. This is called HSTDV. Let's know how much the strength of the army will increase with this weapon of India.

DRDO has tested India's dangerous weapon. The testing was done on Friday i.e. 27 January 2023 on the coast of Odisha. This test is of a hypersonic weapon. This is called HSTDV. Let's know how much the strength of the army will increase with this weapon of India.

The Indian Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Friday test-fired the Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) near Odisha. No disclosure has been made about the results of the test, but we tell you what this weapon is?

India has been working on hypersonic weapons for the last few years. It has also been tested. Drdo had successfully tested the unmanned scramjet for hypersonic speed flight in the year 2020. The unmanned scramjet is the demonstration aircraft for hypersonic speed flight. Aircraft that flew at a speed of 6126 to 12251 km per hour are called hypersonic planes.

The last time the HSTDV test was less than 20 seconds. However, at present its speed was about 7500 km per hour. Its speed can be reduced or increased in the future. If conventional or nuclear weapons are fired in it, then the attack in Pakistan will be done in a few seconds. Through this vehicle, bombs can be dropped or you can make a bomb and drop it on the enemy base. Because its speed is extremely deadly.

The question arises as to why hypersonic missiles or aircraft are needed. The reason for this is America. The US has been constantly trying to make hypersonic missiles and aircraft for the last few years. However, Russia has gone ahead of him in this matter. Russia has many hypersonic missiles. India's neighboring country China is also reported to have such a weapon. In such a situation, it is necessary that hypersonic weapons or aircraft should be made as soon as possible to maintain balance at the strategic level.

India develops BrahMos-2 hypersonic missile

India is developing BrahMos-2 hypersonic missile. It will also be fitted with a scramjet engine, which will give it fast speed and strength to glide. Its maximum range will be 600 kilometers. But the speed will be 8,575 kilometers per hour. It can be fired from ships, submarines, aircraft or launchpads installed on the ground.

What are hypersonic weapons?

Hypersonic weapons are those that run at five times the speed of sound. That is 6100 kilometers per hour or more. The weapon that India has tested today has achieved a speed of 7500 kilometers per hour in the last test itself. In the future, efforts will be made to increase it to 12 thousand kilometers per hour. Their speed is so fast that it is not easy to track them down and kill them. Russia even attacked Ukraine with hypersonic missiles in the Ukraine War.

In the future, these weapons will become more dangerous.

In the future, the stockpile of hypersonic weapons will increase and they will become more deadly. The US is developing weapons that will be launched like a ballistic missile, but before destroying the target, its speed will be eight times the speed of sound. The US is testing such technology in its zumwalt class destroyer.

Can any missile be made hypersonic?

The speed of any cruise and ballistic missile is fast. You can track their speed and direction. They can be killed and dropped. But if the speed is 6100 kilometers per hour or more, then it becomes almost impossible to drop them. If the technique of changing the direction is applied on its own, then it is very difficult to track them.

How many types of hypersonic weapons are there?

There are two types of hypersonic weapons. First are glide vehicles. Second cruise missile. At present, most countries of the world, even India, are paying attention to hypersonic glide. In fact, missiles are installed behind these glide vehicles. After traveling for a certain distance, the missile is separated, after which the glide vehicles themselves move towards the target, deciding the direction and speed. These weapons have scramjet engines that fly fast using oxygen present in the air.

Which countries have hypersonic missiles?

At present, hypersonic missiles are owned by the US, Russia and China. There are also stories about North Korea, but there is no solid evidence. India has also started developing such weapons. At the same time, Australia and European countries are also engaged. Russia has the world's deadliest hypersonic weapon. It is called the Avangard missile. This is an ICBM. Which can fly at a speed of 24,696 kilometers per hour.
