Historic 4th Avenue has always been one of my favorite places to hang out in Tucson. There are a variety of creative shops, restaurants with delicious food, and psychedelic murals. 4th avenue is the perfect place for hippies and free spirits. If you are looking for things to do in Tucson, then you should discover the artistic street of Fourth Avenue.
The Hippie Gypsy is a one-of-a-kind store in Tucson, Arizona. Inside the store feels like a trip to the 60s/70s. The store has creative items to offer such as tie-dye clothing, crystal necklaces, and rock n roll band posters. You will find something you love inside the Hippie Gypsy on Fourth Avenue. The outside walls of the hippie store have trippy murals of bands such as The Beatles and The Grateful Dead. It is the perfect store for hippies, gypsies, and lovers of vintage.
The Generation Cool Store will blast you back to the 80s with retro toys, video games, clothing, and accessories. All the items are a bit pricey. However, just exploring the store is a fun experience. There are rare classic items ready to be discovered at Generation Cool. A mural of iconic video game and movie characters can be seen when the store is closed. Bison Witches is a great restaurant on 4th avenue street in Tucson. 4th avenue brings back many of my childhood memories. I remember visiting Fourth avenue and eating at Bison Witches when I was younger. I went to the restaurant with my mom recently and ordered a grilled cheese. The food at Bison witches is unforgettable and delicious. The restaurant also has a nice patio in the back to eat at. Antigone Books is a great local bookstore on Fourth Avenue. I used to write in journals. When I would need a new journal, I would go to Antigone books. Antigone Books has the most artistically designed journals. I love this bookstore because there are cute knick knacks and eye-catching items. Antigone Books on 4th avenue is definitely a place worth exploring with its wonderful collection of books and lovely merchandise. On the outside wall of Antigone Books, there is a colorful mural. Another great characteristic of Fourth Avenue in Tucson is all the beautiful art the street has to offer.

Goodwill is a thrift store on Fourth Avenue. If you love finding rare items and thrift shopping, then 4th Avenue is the place to go. Fourth Avenue is a creative place surrounded by creative people, so you will for sure find some interesting items. You can discover classic band t-shirts, great movies, old books, and extraordinary art pieces.
The Tucson Thrift Shop is another thrift shop on Fourth Avenue Street. The store has interesting and bizarre items. There are vintage fashion pieces, fun costumes, and extraordinary accessories. The items and trinkets within this store are rare finds. Discover a variety of strange, uncommon, and intriguing merchandise at the Tucson Thrift Shop on 4th Avenue.
On Fourth Avenue and in downtown Tucson there are multiple different bars such as The Boxyard and The Cobra Arcade. One I want to go to but haven't yet is The Hut on 4th Avenue. I recently turned 21 and I haven't been to many bars yet. The Hut looks like a fun tropical place.
The Fourth Avenue Street Fair is an event that occurs twice a year in Tucson, Arizona. It takes place in the Spring and Winter. The biannual street fair is an exciting and entertaining experience. There are a diverse collection of art and merchandise booths. Additionally, there are food trucks and live entertainment.

Fourth avenue is a place worth exploring in Tucson. With the variety of art, shops, and restaurants you will have endless fun. However, since 4th avenue is downtown it can be a bit unsafe.
