A Mystic's Drift in Societal Whoas
2021-08-26
Regarding society (not the spirit-world however, ahem, they can be the same but in this particular article are not) from a middle perspective (what’s left or right ?) around the world in various perspectives, this is an essay style prerogative to be considered as a philosophically based viewpoint, never a criticism. An inspired preamble from a spiritualist. Not to challenge nor support things I don’t understand, nor critique. Just some thoughts.
Water’s circling, I continue my thinking, whoa about relationships between men and women. Relationships as a human institution represent harmony in spirit. As a mystic, I begin with a better question – are relationships a social institution anymore? (Who has time for one?) Does a relationship enhance individuality? For a mystic, I use the term for an explanation. My answer is in either regard, a loving bond could be the better choice spiritually, with a higher power. To channel the greatest light, what’s better than this? Is spirituality a relationship with God? Yes, it should be. Is that then a relationship? Yes, one that forgoes the physical aspects of a loving bond with not only the greatest but highest mind. Loving your mind can first make possible a clear path to that bond or person.
Today is a day for options for relationships, sexual choices abound. Aromantic, Alloromantic, Agender, Asexual, Sex-repulsed, Cupiosexual, Greysexuality, Greyromantic. The list goes on but what changes in terms of two people relating to one another? Nothing really, perhaps what is important is to recognize the common bond that makes us all human is love.
As for the issue of celibacy – it’s not an issue, it’s also a choice – mine. A better choice for a Mystic who is spiritual IN choice not by choice (choice as a better “c” word). Am I in love with myself? Am not. Do I love myself? I do. Is that the best choice? You bet. Now you got it. Perhaps not your choice but still a choice.
We’re all humans, aren’t we? Perhaps the word human-est is a better word. Per to est, the lattice swells when society’s heart grows large in structures both material and spiritual. What is the best human but human-est. Perhaps a free-love movement meaning love without sex would restore some meaning to our choices. Be rebels with a cause because the earth and nature might be eroding people, but let not our hearts.
