The Patagonia Art Walk turns 20

You’re invited to celebrate the annual Patagonia Art Walk on its 20th anniversary from 10 am to 4 pm on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 25th & 26th. It’s an excellent way to walk off your Thanksgiving indulgences, support local artisans, and take in the fresh mountain air on a vibrant autumn day.

As it has for two decades, the art walk showcases artists from Patagonia, Sonoita, Elgin, “and a bit beyond,’ adds organizer and artist Mary Sky Schoolcraft.

The displays are throughout Richardson Town Park and along Patagonia’s McKeown Avenue, its’ main thoroughfare. Visitors should come ready to shop local products at the Farmer’s Market, take in the talented live homegrown musicians, a special tap dancing troupe, and Saturday’s auction of Spirit Horse created by local artists as a fundraiser. As in recent years, the booths will be socially distanced and all local merchants will be well-stocked with amazing items.

Additionally, these local artist studios within the Patagonia town limits will be open to the public during the art walk hours.

• The Textile Courtyard and the Patagonia Creative Arts Center featuring multiple artists
• Frankie’s Silver Jewelry Studio, 441 McKeown Avenue
• Regina Medley at Mesquite Grove Gallery
• Catherine Cudney at Cudney Art Studio
• Judith Hinton Andrew's Studio on Smelter Avenue with exquisite paintings, prints, and cards.

Patagonia is located on Arizona State Highway 82 in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. Its elevation is just over 4,000 feet between the Santa Rita and Patagonia Mountains in the riparian corridor of Sonoita Creek.
