    Lineup for 2022 waterfront Groovin concerts announced

    Deltaville Maritime Museum has kicked off advance ticket sales and Member’s Only ticket packages for its Groovin’ in the Park waterfront, concert series in Middlesex.

    The 2022 lineup includes five regular performances and two “very special performances,” events director Bill Powell announced in a press release.

    May 7th: The Hartfield-based blues guitarist Tom Euler and his trio will launch the series with the first very special performance running from 5:30 - 8 pm.

    May 28th: From 5 – 6 pm Ray Pittman will offer beach, blues, and soul. From 6 -8 pm, #1 Blues Billboard artist Bobby Messano will offer tunes from the Blues Hall of Fame.

    June 25th: From 5 – 6 pm Sincerely, Iris will bring the crowd songs from the road. Then, from 6 – 8 pm The Taters will offer 4 Part Harmonies and other favorites.

    July 23rd: From 4 – 6 pm Clayton Neal will kick off the museum’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, and it will be followed by the season’s second very special performance with the Steve Bassett Band from 6 – 8 pm.

    August 27th: From 5 - 6pm StonesThrow will perform, and then from 6 - 8pm Stuck on a Name will bring the reggae.

    Sept 3rd: From 5 – 6 pm Toby Gillie and the Unpredictables will take the stage followed by the Josh Walker Quartet w/Carla Jackson: Standards from 6 – 8 pm.

    Sept. 24th: 6 – 8 pm: Rappahannock Crossing will offer bluegrass to the max.

    Powell noted that the Groovin concert series is one of the Maritime Park’s major fundraisers. Due to increased expenses, this year, the special concerts will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The five regular concerts will remain priced at $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

    Tickets are available now at the museum office, online at deltavillemuseum.com, and soon they’ll be sold at Nauti-Nells in Deltaville.

    Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park are located in Deltaville, VA. at 287 Jackson Creek Road and by water on Mill Creek.
