PHILADELPHIA - NFL veterans Jason and Travis Kelce could fulfill a childhood dream and become the first set of brothers to play each other in the Super Bowl.

With only four teams remaining in the NFL postseason following an exciting divisional round, the Kelce brothers are each one win away from a trip to the Super Bowl.

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs will face the Cincinnati Bengals for a shot at the championship game. Further east, in Philadelphia, Jason Kelce and the Eagles look to keep their Lombardi hopes alive against the San Francisco 49ers.

If both brothers' teams advance past the conference championships, they will become the first pair of brothers to play against one another in the Super Bowl.

It would be the second Super Bowl appearance for both brothers, who each have a championship win.

In 2017, Jason Kelce helped the Eagles capture the first Super Bowl title in franchise history. At the championship parade, Kelce added to his notorious Philly legacy with a victory speech of the ages.

A couple of years later, in 2019, star tight end Travis Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the 49ers to win Super Bowl LIV.

Now, on the hunt for the second Super Bowl win in their respective careers, the talented sibling duo may have to dash the championship dreams of the other this season.

It's poetic, really. It's crazy enough that two brothers would both become stars in the NFL, but to play each other in the Super Bowl feels like something out of Hollywood.

Should the two brothers match up in the Super Bowl, expect their mother Donna Kelce to be rooting for both teams.

Donna wore a custom jersey that was a hybrid mix of the Eagles and Chiefs uniforms to the brothers' first NFL game against each other six years ago.

The Chiefs won that regular season matchup 27-20 over the Eagles. It was one of only three Eagles losses that season.

More recently, the duo faced each other again in another high-scoring affair in Kansas City. That time, the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 42-30 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Now, Mama Kelce will once again have two teams to root for this weekend in the conference championship round.

Unfortunately, due to the timing of the games, she is unable to attend both games. Since she watched Travis in person last week, Donna has opted to watch Jason Kelce play at Lincoln Financial Field.

I decided, ‘Alright, I’m gonna go to the Chiefs-Jags game, because that’s never happened before, and then go to the championship for Jason,’” Donna Kelce told Sports Illustrated. “I knew I was gonna go to one for each.

Ed Kelce, the father of the talented brothers, agreed with his wife's logic and plans to visit Philly alongside her.

My best chance at seeing both boys in a playoff game is going to Kansas City then to Philly,” he said. For Jason Kelce, who has openly pondered retirement for a few years, this may be the final home game of his decorated NFL career.

Donna Kelce said she hopes both teams advance to the Super Bowl, though she joked that the result will be bittersweet for her family.

It’s your hopes and dreams coming true, but it’s your worst fears,” Donna said. “Somebody’s gonna go home a loser and neither one of them lose very well.”
