Man dies after beating at southeast Columbus apartment complex; suspect arrested
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man died after he was severely beaten last month and authorities arrested a suspect in his death. According to Franklin County Municipal Court documents, on April 15, officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called out to an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Refugee Road for a report of a person being assaulted. Arriving officers found a man, later identified as 36-year-old Eugene McGuire Jr., suffering from an "obvious" head injury.
